Automation - The Plum Creek Library System provides, manages, and maintains the library automation system that allows our member libraries to check out books, keep statistics, rotate collections, and register patrons. Patrons can access the PCLS library on-line catalog, search for books, and request and renew books, all from the comfort of their home or office.

Computer Lab - Our 12 seat computer lab is located in the Slayton Public Library and is available for bookings Monday thru Friday. For info, email Sharyl Larson or call 507-836-8778.

Outreach- Offers complete real time library service to rural patrons without a nearby library.

Interlibrary Loan - Plum Creek is a member of a large interlibrary loan network. If your local library doesn't have the book, video, or cassette you are looking for, we can probably get it for you from another library. Just tell your local library staff what you need.

Gateway Access to Library Collections Statewide - Plum Creek Library System is a Gateway for local access from your library, your school, or your home, to provide access to over 28,000,000 items from libraries all over the State of Minnesota.

Delivery - Our delivery system brings you the items you request quickly and efficiently. You can expect most items within a couple of days, if they are available on our database.

Reciprocal Borrowing - Your Plum Creek library card is good all over the State of Minnesota. Present it at any library that is a member of any Public Library system to check out materials of all kinds.

Training and Support for Computers – Plum Creek offers technology training to library staff  and provides technical support for member libraries’ computers.

Cooperative Programming - Each summer, Plum Creek and SMAHC sponsor a traveling performer who visits each library as part of the Summer Reading Program.

Professional Consultation - The Professional MLS staff at Plum Creek Library System offers Consultation Services in Grant Writing, Technology Training, Budget Development, and General Library Services.

Continuing Education Programs - The more your local library staff knows about library services and resources, the better library you will have. Plum Creek Library System offers all kinds of continuing education programs, including the Minnesota Voluntary Certification Program for Library Paraprofessionals.
