"Make
Waves at Your Library!" Summer Reading Program lasts until the end of July.
Weekly meetings for activities are on Thursdays at 2:00 PM. For ages 5 -
12.

August 17, 2010 at 10:15 AM: Pint-Sized Polkas
Join us
for a hillariously fun morning involving a one-man polka band. Come learn to
polka and experience how many things can be taught by putting them to music!
All ages welcome, though geared toward elementary school.
August 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM: Kevin Strauss, Storyteller
Kevin is
coming to do some interactive storytelling based around the same theme as the
Summer Reading Program. It should be a great time so come and join us! All
ages welcome.
October 10, 2010 at 2:00 PM: "The Accidental Hero"
This one
man show based on the letters of his father during World War II will be hosted
by the Pipestone Performing Arts Center. It is free and open to the public,
first come first served.
October 11, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 3:00 PM:
Oral
History Workshop
The
library and the Pipestone County Museum will be hosting this workshop together.
It will be geared towards those who wish to do oral interviews with relatives
and friends to preserve their history both on paper and on video. Barbara
Sommers will be instructing and she has written several books on the
topic.
November 20, 2010 at 7:00 PM: The Golden Age of Radio
Come
hear a wonderful concert of piano and voice celebrating the music of the 30s and
40s. Hosted at the Pipestone Performing Arts Center. It is free and open to
the public, first come first served.
