How do I reserve books online?
Log into your Plum Creek Library account using the the Login box in the upper right of the Home page.  You can search for materials by using the Quick Search box on the Home page or click on Advanced Catalog Search and search by Author, Title or Subject.  Advanced Catalog Search also allows you to search a specific PCLS library's catalog and to search by material type (book, DVD, audio cassette).  Once you have found an item you want to reserve, click the red Hold button to the right of the item. On the Place Hold screen, verify that the library listed in the Pickup Library box is the library you want to pick up the item; the default selection is your home library (where you registered and received a library card).   It is VERY IMPORTANT  that you verify the LOCATION here.  If you want the hold to expire after after a certain number of days, click the Expiration Date check box and choose your expiration date from the drop down menus.  If you want to suspend your hold for any reason (out of town, vacation), click the Suspension Start Date and Suspension End Date boxes and choose the dates you do not want the hold active.  Once the suspension end date is reached, your hold will be placed back in line for the item.  When finished, click the Hold button and you will see a "Hold Successful!" message.  To place a hold on an item from a specific library, first choose that library from the list in the upper right corner of the screen below the Languages box.  You can also choose a library in the Advanced Catalog Search screen.  Next, do your item search.  The search results shown will be from the selected library only.  Click the Keep button to the right of an item to enter the item into a saved list to view later. You can access this list by clicking on  Kept Records at the top of the Catalog Search window.
