What is an eBook?

An eBook is an electronic version of a book. Books are digitized by scanning or using other software to make the book available in electronic form. These books are then viewed on devices, most popularly known as ebook readers. Some ebooks can be read using any computer device, and some need specific devices to download and view the content.

What kinds of ebook readers are available?

Ebooks can be used with ebook readers, computers, or smart phone devices. The most popular ebook readers are the Amazon Kindle, the Barnes & Noble Nook, the Sony Reader, the Apple iPad, the Toshiba Libretto, the Lenovo IdeaPad, and the Samsung Galaxy Pad.
