Welcome to the start of our new Outreach program.
The PCLS Bookmobile program has long served the patrons of Southwest Minnesota. The program was retired in December 2012. The Plum Creek Library System is pleased to announce the Outreach Service is replacing it! Starting February 5, 2013 we will be out and on the road again!
We do have some changes we will share with you. This will help you understand how the service will operate.
Outreach librarians will be at each stop twice a month for one hour. Example; the 1st and 3rd Tuesday. See Schedule for locations and times.
The Bookmobile library card can be used for Outreach if only the Outreach stop is used.
If a patron wants items from other Plum Creek libraries or outside Plum Creek sources, then the patron will need to go to a Plum Creek library of their choice and be reissued that library's card in place of their bookmobile card. Patrons can then place and pick up holds from the main Plum Creek catalog using that number.
Books placed on Hold cannot be picked up at an Outreach location, but rather at the library of their convenience.
Patrons may return Outreach books anytime. If books from other libraries are returned they can Only be returned if an Outreach staff member is present.
