Converting image files in IrfanView
1. In IrfanView, click File, then Batch Conversion (the window above will open)
2. On the right side, find the folder that contains the image you want to convert and highlight the image file name
3. Click on Add to move the image into the left window
4. Below the left window (at Output format), find the file type that you want to convert the image to
5. In the Output directory box, find the folder that you want the converted file to be saved in
6. Click Start (by the top of the left window)
7. Close the window that appears when the conversion is done
8. You're done! (The original image, in it's preconversion format, will still be where it was when you began)
Some other uses for IrfanView
View images in Irfan to find out their width and height, which appear in the title bar. These figures should go in the IMG tags in your HTML code.
You can also edit images in a number of ways, including cropping, resizing, and applying effects. See the Image menu for what's available. (Crop is under Edit)
